September 2, 2021
My ever-growing appetite for doing more and more sports and exercise has turned my life into continuous monitoring and observing different kinds of aches and pain. The latest addition this week has been toothache which for me has always been the most annoying and disturbing kind.
The dentist told me on Tuesday that I should expect the recovery to take few days, possibly even over a week. The first couple of days after the procedure haven't been very encouraging. I decided to keep a rudimentary log of the pain levels and Ibuprofen intake as I don't want to accidentally overdose too much. It's been both helpful and informative.
I've been feeling really crappy overall and wanted to listen to my body instead of forcefully pushing the training as I don't really have any reason to do it and I want to heal as soon as possible. This is always a tough balance to keep as I know myself and it's so easy to use things like these as an excuse to not push yourself. But again, pushing too hard is not smart either, so being honest with yourself and staying in the right mental mode is super important.
