I had planned a 10k long run for today but changed it to a bike FTP test instead as the leg has been feeling much better now that I‘ve taken some rest from running and walking. Ran only an easy 5k this week compared to 41k last week, including a pretty hard half marathon.
The FTP test was a bit of a failure as I didn’t know how it worked and I somehow got fooled by the “easy” tag on the Tacx training app categories. Only afterwards read the full description which included detailed instructions on how hard each step of the workout should be done. Oh well. I guess I’ll train with the lower watts for a week or two before taking the test again.
My goal for next week is to get a better balance of swimming, cycling, and running with fresh and healthy legs. Starting with an early Monday morning session in the pool! 💪
